Riley Lesh

Although she is one of PUDM’s many Riley kids, she is also heavily involved in IUDM in Bloomington!

“I was born 15 weeks premature in March of 2002 and weighed a little under 2 pounds. I spent 90 days in the neonatal intensive care unit at Riley and went through countless blood draws, transfusions, brain and chest x-rays, and had a major surgery to fix a hole in my heart. Even after coming home from the hospital, the fight wasn’t over. I still had routine checkups, spent hours with a variety of therapists, and was fed through a feeding tube and still on oxygen. At age 4, I discovered my love for dance marathons, and by the time I was 14, I had attended 200 Marathons.

I am currently going into my junior year at Indiana University as an exercise science major and continued my love for dance marathon as a chair on the Public Relations committee.”
