I wanted to be mental health executive to support those around me and spread awareness. PUDM allows me to serve others while meeting the most amazing friends. This organization has meant so much to me and my college journey, and being an executive lets me give back.
What is your previous PUDM involvement?
Riley Relations Family Captain, then Athletics Outreach Chair, now Mental Health Executive
What is your favorite PUDM memory?
I don’t have just one favorite memory, but tons of memories with Kris. On Riley R he was my buddy for my first marathon and we had an amazing day together. We both love music and sports, so we bonded quickly. When I was athletics outreach chair and planned the athletic events, he attended all of them giving us so many opportunities to get closer. I love spending time with him talking about life, or just quietly sitting in the stands enjoying the game and the good company 🙂
What is a fun fact about you?
I was only 3.5 pounds when I was born, NICU gang!
Whats your biggest dream? (Career goal, travel, bucket list, impact on the world, etc.)
I want to do Construction at Theme Parks to spread joy to other people. In the summers I intern at Disney which has been a dream that I would like to continue.
What are your main duties as an exec?
I plan Mental Health Action Week (MHAW) where we hosted campus-wide events to raise awareness for mental health and tell Tate’s story. All funds raised this week went directly to the behavioral health unit at Riley, a huge step for mental health care. Throughout the year I support those around me by planning mental health events to spread awareness and spark joy in those around me.
