Foxx Goetz

Our Riley Kid of the Week is Foxx Goetz! Foxx is 10 years old, and he is from Lafayette, Indiana.

Today, we celebrate Foxx in honor of World Down Syndrome Day approaching this month on March 21st!

Here is Foxx’s story: “Foxx was diagnosed with Down syndrome at birth. He was in need of a lot of initial care, so his family immediately began seeing specialists at Riley for several reasons. He received several surgeries and has been inpatient for RSV, a respiratory issue, in the PICU and later battled pneumatosis intestinalis for several months. It was really grueling and difficult for Foxx and his whole family. He has since been back for more surgeries and several outpatient specialist appointments. He loves child life and music therapy at Riley and is always a bundle of joy when he comes around!”

Foxx loves spending time on his family’s flower farm here in Lafayette! He also loves Toy Story, especially Buzz and Woody, and likes to spend time listening to music and dancing!
