David Feltner
“Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference.” David Feltner
David Feltner was someone that others, especially other kids going through cancer treatment, looked up to as he never lost his spirit. In 2007, he was diagnosed with the soft tissue cancer, rhabdomyosarcoma, and he relapsed four times as a Purdue student. While at Purdue, David studied Building Construction Management and was a member of Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity. David’s Pi Kapp brothers shaved their heads for him while he went through chemotherapy, and they held their first Bike-a-Thon to help David pay for a seeing eye dog. They have continued this tradition ever since and celebrate David’s legacy through their philanthropy “The Ability Experience.” They bike around campus to raise money for disability awareness and inclusivity and bring their stationary bikes to the marathon every year. We continue to celebrate David’s legacy as a part of PUDM to inspire others by his story. #FeltnerStrong
