Cohen Elliott

This week’s Riley Kid of the Week is Cohen Elliott. Cohen is a 1st grader in Lafayette, Indiana.

Cohen was diagnosed with Kawasaki Disease at 21 months old. He was very sick with an extremely high fever, rash, and lethargy. He went to his pediatrician and then to urgent care where he was eventually referred to the emergency room at Riley. It took 3 different doctors to get a diagnosis. Kawasaki disease affects the heart and his heart will need to be monitored for the rest of his life. This is a very commonly misdiagnosed disease, so it was crucial he was at Riley to get the much needed care.

Cohen and the Elliotts love all things PUDM but Cohen especially loves the dancing and all his “big” friends! Outside of PUDM Cohen LOVES to be outside, do crafts, and play with monster trucks!
